There are many version of Linux:

a. PCLinuxOS
PCLinuxOS one of the world providers who are rising stars on the desktop because it userfriendly.
b. Debian
Debian package format that uses DEB program is considered more stable than the RPM. Debian also have using autodetect method for use in computer peripherals.
c. Redhat
Redhat is recognized as the fastest server other than the linux server. Apart from being the fastest server, Redhat also be used as well as PC desktop client / PCs standolone.
d. Turbo Linux
Turbo Linux specialize in the field of computer clustering.
e. Caldera
Caldera is the first type of linux to use Auto-Detect Hardware (such as plug and play on a Mac)
f. Slackware
Slackware is the first Linux distribution which is a pure linux distribution, linux oldest and almost equal in their use of Unix.
g. SuSE
SuSE Linux comes with Desktop Manager known as KDE. SuSE Linux is the first type include the Indonesian language and choice of language used in the Linux operating system.
h. Corel
Corel Linux is designed as an end-user. Corel Linux on its quasi-graphics department, commencing on the installation procedure to boot the system
i. Mandriva
Mandriva Linux who formerly Mandrakelinux or Mandrake Linux is a Linux distribution created by Mandriva. It uses the RPM Package Manager. If redhat recommended as a server, the client mandrake handal.Tujuan serve as the beginning of the creation of Mandrake Linux is to facilitate users in performing installation and use of Linux itself.
j. Ubuntu
Ubuntu Linux comes in two versions namely the LiveCD version and install version. You can use the LiveCD version if you do not want to install it into the computer.

Linux is an operating system developed by Linus Benedict Torvalds of the University of Helsinki, Finland as a hobby project started in 1991. New on March 14, 1994 version 1.0 was launched, and this is a milestone in Linux.

Linux is listed as "computer operating system program for the use of computers and operations." The trademark was registered after an incident in which a forger named William R Della Croce Jr. began sending letters to all distributors of Linux and Linux is a trademark claim his property and asking for royalties as much as 10% of them. The Linux distributors began to push for the original trademark given to Linus Torvalds. Linux trademark licensing is now under the supervision of the Linux Mark Institute.
